Wrinkle Treatment

WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox, short for Botulinum toxin, is a naturally occurring neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.  When used in controlled, diluted amounts, it serves as a powerful tool in aesthetic medicine. Botox works by temporarily paralyzing muscles, preventing them from contracting, and thereby smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines.

BENEFITS OF BOTOX:

  • Wrinkle Reduction
  • Preventative Measure
  • Softened Lines
  • Natural Results

BOTOX TIMELINE: Treatment to Results

Immediately Post-Treatment: Following a Botox injection session, some patients may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. These side effects typically subside within a few hours to days.

Days 2-7: Botox begins to take effect within 2-7 days post-treatment as the neurotoxin blocks nerve signals to the injected muscles, gradually relaxing them.

Week 2: By the end of the second week, patients typically start noticing significant improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and lines, with maximum results becoming apparent around this time.

Week 3-4: Botox results continue to refine, with the full effect usually reaching its peak by the end of the fourth week post-treatment.

Maintenance: Results from Botox typically last 3-4 months, after which follow-up injections are recommended to maintain the desired aesthetic outcome.
