Photobiomodulation — backed by clinical research. Red light therapy isn't a wellness trend; it's an FDA-cleared medical category. Our panels deliver peer-reviewed wavelengths (630–660nm red, 810–850nm near-infrared) at clinical doses you can't replicate at home.

Is This Right for You?

For skin that needs
healing — not stripping.

Red Light Therapy clients are typically 30 to 65 and dealing with conditions where aggressive treatments backfire: rosacea, melasma, post-procedure healing, post-acne inflammation, or sensitive skin that responds badly to actives. They've learned that "more" isn't always "better" — sometimes skin needs to be helped, not punished.

RLT is the rare treatment that improves skin while calming it. Mitochondrial stimulation increases cellular energy, which speeds healing, supports collagen, and reduces inflammatory markers. You leave looking calm and slightly glowing — and the changes compound over a series.

The Science

How Red Light
Therapy Works.

Specific wavelengths interact with cellular machinery in measurable ways — this is photobiomodulation, not pseudoscience.

I.

Mitochondrial ATP Boost

Red light (630–660nm) is absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in mitochondria, increasing ATP production. More cellular energy = faster repair, healing, and biological function.

II.

Anti-Inflammatory Cascade

Near-infrared (810–850nm) penetrates deeper, modulating inflammatory cytokines. Effective for rosacea, post-acne redness, and post-procedure recovery.

III.

Collagen Stimulation

Both wavelengths trigger fibroblasts to upregulate collagen and elastin synthesis. Gradual but real anti-aging effect across a session series.

What to Expect

Your RLT
Visit, Step by Step.

You'll lie under panels for ~20 minutes. Many clients fall asleep. There's no other treatment with a better effort-to-effect ratio.

i
Step One

Skin Prep

Skin is cleansed of all SPF and skincare. RLT works directly on skin — products would block the wavelengths.

ii
Step Two

Eye Protection + Position

Protective goggles for eyes. You lie comfortably under clinical-grade LED panels, positioned to evenly target face and (optionally) neck.

iii
Step Three

Light Exposure

20–30 minutes of red + near-infrared. Skin feels a gentle warmth. Most clients fall asleep — this is the most relaxing treatment in our catalog.

iv
Step Four

Hydrate + SPF

Goggles off, hydrating serum and SPF applied. Walk out — no makeup restrictions, no recovery, just compounding benefits.

Questions, Answered

Red Light Therapy FAQ.

Common questions from our consultations. Call (973) 567-7492 with anything we haven't covered.

Does red light therapy actually work, or is it a wellness fad?
It works — but at clinical doses. The mechanism (photobiomodulation) is documented in peer-reviewed dermatology research. Most home devices don't deliver enough power; our panels are clinical-grade with measured irradiance.
How many sessions before I see results?
Some clients notice calmer skin after one session. Visible collagen and skin-quality changes typically emerge after 6–12 sessions over 4–8 weeks.
Can I combine RLT with other treatments?
Yes — and we recommend it. RLT after a peel speeds barrier recovery. RLT after microneedling reduces inflammation. RLT after laser can shorten redness duration significantly.
Is it safe for melasma?
Generally yes — we use the right wavelengths (red/near-infrared) and avoid blue light, which can worsen melasma. Always disclose your pigmentation history at consultation.
Can I do this during pregnancy?
There's no published evidence of harm, but as with most aesthetic treatments, we typically pause RLT during pregnancy out of caution. Discuss with your clinician.
How is this different from a tanning bed?
Tanning beds use UV-A/UV-B (damaging). RLT uses red and near-infrared (reparative). They are completely different parts of the light spectrum with opposite effects on skin.
