Every Botox appointment begins with an MD assessment. Our in-house Medical Doctors map your facial anatomy, review your medical history, and design a dosing plan around your muscle movement — not a one-size-fits-all formula. This is the difference between aesthetic medicine and a routine injection.

Is Botox Right for You?

Built for women
who want to age
on their own terms.

Most of our Botox clients are women between 35 and 60 who've started noticing that their morning face doesn't fully settle anymore — the eleven between the brows, the forehead creases that linger long after the expression, the fine crosshatching at the outer eyes. They're not chasing a younger face. They're chasing the one they see in their own mind.

We also see younger women in their late 20s and early 30s who book preventative "baby Botox" — micro-doses designed not to erase wrinkles but to soften the muscle movement that creates them in the first place. And we treat men, too — often for the glabellar frown that makes them look permanently tired at work.

What unites them isn't age. It's a preference for looking rested, refined, and unmistakably themselves — and the good sense to have it done by a physician.

The Science

How Botox
Actually Works.

Botulinum toxin type A is a precision-purified neuromodulator. It doesn't freeze skin — it interrupts the chemical signal between nerve and muscle, allowing the skin above to rest.

I.

Blocks Acetylcholine Release

Botox temporarily prevents the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from reaching targeted muscle fibers. Without that signal, the muscle cannot contract — and the overlying skin smooths.

II.

Targets Dynamic Wrinkles

Effective specifically for lines caused by muscle movement — frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet. Less effective for static wrinkles from volume loss, which are better addressed with dermal fillers.

III.

Gradual, Reversible Action

Effects begin at 3–5 days, peak at 10–14 days, and fully metabolize over 3–4 months. The treatment is non-permanent, and your muscles regain full function as the neuromodulator clears.

What to Expect

Your Botox
Visit, Step by Step.

Every visit follows the same medical-grade protocol. You'll never feel rushed, pressured, or uninformed.

i
Step One

MD Consultation

Medical history, medication review, facial mapping, and a frank discussion of your goals. Photos are taken for your clinical record. Complimentary for new clients.

ii
Step Two

Treatment Plan

Your MD designs a dosing plan around the muscles you animate — not a template. Units, injection sites, and product (Botox · Dysport · Xeomin) are all tailored to you.

iii
Step Three

Precision Injection

Skin is cleansed with medical antiseptic. Fine-gauge needles deliver micro-boluses at each anatomical site. Total active treatment: approximately 10–15 minutes.

iv
Step Four

Follow-Up & Refinement

A two-week follow-up lets your MD assess results and refine if needed — included at no additional cost. Results last 3–4 months; most clients return every 90–120 days.

Treatment Areas

Common
Botox Targets.

The zones we treat most often — with a physician's eye for proportion, symmetry, and preserved expression.

Glabellar / "11" Lines

The vertical furrows between the brows caused by the corrugator and procerus muscles. One of the most requested — and most transformative — areas.

Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines from raising the brows. Requires nuanced dosing to preserve natural lift and avoid the "heavy brow" that comes from over-treatment.

Crow's Feet

Fine fan-shaped lines at the outer corners of the eyes. Softens beautifully with low-dose Botox while preserving your natural smile.

Brow Lift (Non-Surgical)

Strategic placement can subtly lift the lateral brow, opening the eye area and refreshing tired-looking features without surgery.

Masseter / Jaw Slimming

Relaxes the chewing muscle for a softer jawline — effective for nighttime clenching, TMJ tension, and a more refined lower-face contour.

Lip Flip & Gummy Smile

Micro-doses at the upper lip create a subtle pout; targeted injection above the lip softens excessive gum show when smiling.

Botox FAQ.

Everything we're most often asked during consultations. Can't find your question? Call (973) 567-7492.

How much does Botox cost in Saddle Brook, NJ?
Botox pricing is quoted per unit. The number of units needed depends on the treatment area, muscle strength, and your personal goals. Most new clients use 20–60 units per session. Exact pricing is transparently discussed during your complimentary MD consultation. Oasis Circle members receive 15% off all neuromodulator treatments.
What's the best age to start Botox?
There's no universal "right" age. Many women in their mid-30s begin with preventative, low-dose treatment (often called "baby Botox") to slow the formation of expression lines. Others begin in their 40s or 50s to soften existing wrinkles. Our MDs assess your muscle movement, skin condition, and goals to recommend the appropriate timing — not a formula.
Will Botox make me look frozen or expressionless?
No — when performed by an experienced physician. The goal at Siwa Oasis is a refined, natural outcome: lines soften but expression is preserved. Overly frozen looks are the result of over-dosing or poor placement. Our MDs dose conservatively, map muscle movement carefully, and often recommend a two-week follow-up to dial in your ideal look.
What's the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin?
All three are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators that relax targeted muscles. Dysport tends to diffuse slightly more, useful for larger areas like the forehead. Xeomin is a "naked" formulation without accessory proteins — some clients who develop resistance to Botox respond well to Xeomin. Botox has the longest clinical track record. Your MD selects based on your anatomy, history, and treatment area.
How long does Botox last?
Most clients enjoy results for 3–4 months. Factors that influence duration include metabolism, activity level, dose, and muscle strength. With consistent treatment every 3–4 months, many clients find results last progressively longer as the treated muscles gradually soften.
Does Botox hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. We use very fine 30–32 gauge needles and can apply topical numbing or ice on request. Most clients describe the sensation as tiny pinches. The full treatment takes approximately 15 minutes.
Can Botox treat more than wrinkles?
Yes. FDA-approved and widely studied off-label uses include chronic migraine prevention, excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis), jaw slimming and TMJ-related clenching (masseter Botox), gummy smile, neck bands (Nefertiti lift), and "lip flip" for subtle upper-lip enhancement. Your MD can evaluate which of these may be appropriate for you.
How soon will I see results, and is there downtime?
You'll see initial softening within 3–5 days and full results at 10–14 days. There is no downtime — most clients return to work or errands immediately. We ask you to avoid strenuous exercise, facial massage, lying flat, and excess heat for 4 hours post-treatment. Minor pinpoint redness or bruising typically resolves within 24–48 hours.
Is Botox safe?
Botox has one of the longest safety track records in aesthetic medicine, with FDA approval dating to 2002 for cosmetic use. When administered by a qualified Medical Doctor who understands facial anatomy, it is considered very safe. At Siwa Oasis, every neuromodulator treatment is preceded by an MD clinical assessment to screen for contraindications and design a safe, individualized plan.
Who should not get Botox?
Botox is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, for those with certain neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, ALS), active skin infection at the injection site, or known hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin. Our pre-treatment consultation screens for all contraindications.
